Via Flickr:
an accidental double exposure. I went to visit family in both Georgia and Virginia. I ended up with this image that feels like a connection between the two states, between the families that haven’t seen one another in quite some time.

This is part of a series that is struggling to depict the transitions from adolescent behaviors and ideals to those of a twenty-something, and the expectations of this age that clash with the reality of what and who we really are, as animals, as human beings.

My friend Danielle and I created an installation art piece for one of our UCF course requirements during the Fall 2012 semester. This piece consists of 48 8.5x11 sheets of photo transparency and is hung in the atrium of the photography building on the Daytona State campus.

This is possibly one of my favorite pieces I have completed in my lifetime. It has brought great inspiration to my heart and mind. I believe this to be simply the beginning of something fabulous. I am constantly amazed by the women I meet and their lack of concern for what is expected of them as “women”. Stay tuned…
